SilkWeb started business operations in 1997 as SilkWeb Writing Services. Back then SilkWeb provided online content for educational websites and writing and editing services for higher education clients.

As the field of eLearning evolved, SilkWeb expanded operations to include services that would integrate the company’s experience with Internet technologies and adult education with the changing needs of today’s learning organizations.

The reBirth of SilkWeb

SilkWeb’s commitment to eLearning initiatives and the inclusion of eLearning course development has transformed the organization into a dynamic eLearning consultancy and development organization. In 2006, under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Michael Shaw, SilkWeb began offering custom eLearning products and a fully developed catalog of off-the-shelf web-based training solutions to the corporate education sector.

SilkWeb’s web-based training solutions help transform organizations and provide the much needed training solutions to help push their business ahead of the competition. SilkWeb is unique in the industry in that they develop all of their own eLearning content, from course design, content, and production in their own training studio.
